Overview The Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center, an academic medical center within theHackensack Meridian Health Network (HMH) in New Jersey, seeks full time Vascular Neurologists with excellent clinical skills to join its Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The successful candidates will have completed a residency in Neurology and an ACGME accredited fellowship in Vascular Neurology and will have the ability to obtain DEA and CDS licenses in New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a team with a focus on the growth and development of a Regional Stroke Network. Our mission is to provide an outstanding level of comprehensive and specialized care to patients who have neurovascular disease. This care is provided through a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach and entails use of the most current and effective treatment strategies. These protocols are executed by experts within the fields of vascular neurology, neurocritical care, neuro-interventional surgery, neurology nursing, emergency medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, and rehabilitation medicine. The Stroke and Neurovascular Center at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Medical Center is designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. It was the first stroke center in the tri-state area (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut) to receive this designation. JFK University Medical Center was awarded the Stroke Care Excellence Award and named a Five-Star Recipient for Treatment of Stroke by Healthgrades in 2020.
